Marketplace

Managing your own marketplace

The solution enables launching a marketplace from scratch or improving an existing one.

Who it suits

A marketplace on Ensi can operate across any industry and serve any business processes. Today, marketplaces developed on Ensi have proven themselves in several sectors:
  • Grocery and household goods
  • Digital goods

  • Real estate and hotels
  • Department stores

Capabilities

Any combination of logistics, storage, operating models with sellers

There are two main operating models with sellers available: FBO and FBS.
FBO (Fulfillment by Operator)
The seller delivers a batch of goods to the marketplace warehouse. They are then sold as the marketplace’s own goods. The marketplace is responsible for the operational activities related to the storage and packaging of goods, as well as the processing and delivery of orders.
FBS (Fulfillment by Seller)
Storage of goods, order processing and packaging of goods are the responsibility of the seller. The seller delivers the order to the reception point or hands it over to the marketplace courier. The marketplace only provides the last mile.
Ensi can build any customised process and create its own operating model with many combinations to take into account e-com individual features.

Commission

The administrator sets a common commission for sellers or assigns a unique commission for each seller. Specific conditions can be assigned to product categories and brands.

Commission percentage can be bound to the seller’s rating or other KPIs.

Logistics

The solution organises the delivery of goods to the customer, manages logistics between the seller and the marketplace, runs its own courier service and external logistics operators.
  • Pickup of goods from the seller’s warehouse
  • Consolidation at distribution centres
  • Order tracking

Product content

The Ensi PIM service is responsible for editing and storing product content. The information includes descriptions, characteristics, media files, brands, categories and other data required by the business.

Marketplace employees, sellers, content managers and other users work with the service.

PIM supports batch upload and download of product content via files or API.
